Google Hangout: How to market your tours online? Use online tools to generate real world bookings

Last Thursday, February 14, 2013, TrekkSoft’s latest Google Hangout provided tips and tricks on how to combat losing yourself in the internet jungle. After a short intro from our Experts Leslie McLellan (Tourism Currents) and Jon Fauver (TrekkSoft) the discussion opened up for several questions from the attendees.

Jon Fauver started with an explanation on how important it is to have a visible online presence and then Leslie McLelland took over by briefly presenting the most promising features out there in the web. She thoroughly explained how important it is to know keywords and to use them frequently. She made a few suggestions on how you can improve your Social Media presence. For example, using keywords on Linkedin, being specific on Twitter (especially by stating where you are and what you are doing) and using hashtags will allow people to find you and follow you.

After the opening discussions, the panel moved forward to discuss individual questions. For example what are the benefits of Tripadvisor?
