Once again TrekkSoft is heading to ITB Berlin, the world's leading travel trade show that's now in its fiftieth year. Needless to say, we're excited! Here's what we're looking forward to most between 9 - 13 March 2016...
1. Exploring a few new countries
180+ countries and regions are represented at ITB Berlin. We have an international office and customers all over the world, but this is impressive! Getting to know a few places and cultures in more detail is sure to be exciting, especially Maori culture and the Maldives, the official partner company of this year's event.
2. Making connections
10,000 exhibitors and 115,000 trade visitors are expected to attend ITB Berlin. There will be companies, organisations, top decision-makers, experts, buyers and young professionals from every touristic area: hotels, tourism organizations, tour operators, travel agencies, transport companies, booking portals, systems providers. Oh, and the first hotel robot will be visiting too. Phew, we're going to be kept busy.
3. The opportunity for a bit of adventure
ITB Berlin's unique hall design includes an obstacle course and an adventure stage - yes please!
4. All the important segments in one location
If you want it all, you head to ITB Berlin. The event combines all of the important segments in one location – from Leisure to Business Travel to trend areas like Travel Technology, LGBT and Youth and Adventure Travel all the way to CSR. There's loads to learn and see, including new digital audio systems for guided tours and a focus on Copenhagen, cycling capital of the world. Notebooks at the ready!
5. Celebrating ITB Berlin's 50th birthday
To mark the occasion, ITB Berlin will tell the story of travel technology with a look ahead to the future. Discussion will cover digital nomads, influencer marketing, and the newest travel trends. Fascinating stuff.
