An in-depth comparison between TrekkSoft and Rezdy

Founded in 2011, Rezdy is a booking software for suppliers (tour operators, activity providers, rental companies) and agents (travel agents, resellers, OTAs). Based in Australia, the company was co-founded by CEO Simon Lenoir and CTO Hugo Sterin. Early this year, the company secured $1.8 million in funding to expand their operations into America.

Rezdy offers a fuss-free booking system with a comprehensive set of features for companies of all sizes, and pricing plans to match. They offer similar features to TrekkSoft, but lack advanced features like Business Intelligence that larger companies can benefit greatly from.

An API is a connection established between databases, devices and applications. In the context of the tourism industry, databases would contain inventories of tours and activities around the world and applications would range from booking systems like TrekkSoft to online marketplaces like Viator

TrekkSoft's API connections to large distributors like Hotelbeds and Expedia do more than send you an email notifying you a trip has been booked. When you sync your inventory with Expedia, your updates in prices and capacity are adjusted in real-time. Personal support provided, no matter what subscription plan

Booking systems are complex, regardless of who's providing them. While Rezdy provides a lot of video tutorials and support documentation, the lack of onboarding and personal support can make it tricky for new users to hit the ground running. On top of that, Rezdy also charges customers a fee of $199 for training calls, plus your monthly fee. 

With TrekkSoft, we provide personal onboarding and training for all subscription plans where you'll speak to an Integrations Specialist about your business and learn how to set up the system to meet your requirements. Our team is fluent in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese and counting. 


Plans to suit every company and every budget

While Rezdy offers a fixed monthly subscription plans to suit all budgets, they need to be paid in one go on an annual basis. For example, Rezdy's cheapest plan is $79 a month, billed annually or $85, billed monthly. This can work out to be quite a huge some of money for small companies who also require onboarding support.

TrekkSoft's Essential plan works out a lot cheaper than Rezdy's lower plan, plus we include onboarding and integration support. 

On top of that, Rezdy does not practice variable transaction fees. This means that companies paying for higher subscription plans are still charged the same percentage on each booking as someone on a much lower plan. For companies taking in a large volume of bookings, this can end up costing quite a bit.
